Step 03 · Physical validation
Can the model match a measured build?
The joint studies and hinge-slider model become physical evidence only when dated specimen records and raw measurements are reviewed. Charts below appear from those records, with their source files and review trail.
No measurements published yet. The blank downloads are collection templates; they are not observations or model-validation results.
01 · Joint Lab
PendingHolding load, breakaway, and play
Applied holding-test torque is a tested load, not a maximum strength rating. Breakaway torque, backlash, and repeatability are shown only where recorded. Each mark represents an actual trial; no line bridges missing cycle checkpoints. Different revisions and friction preloads stay in separate panels.
Joint measurements are pending.
No approved source trials are published. Torque and play charts appear only after the physical records and publication review are available.
02 · Hinge-slider
PendingIdeal prediction versus observed position
The source revision predicts slider X from the right-hand ideal linkage branch. A measured position is the instrument reading plus its recorded offset to the model datum. Signed error is observed minus predicted; MAE averages the absolute errors of paired rows. The predicted line never stands in for missing measurements.
Mechanism validation is pending.
No approved position readings are published. Measured points and error calculations appear only after the source revision, physical datum, and test records are reviewed.
What a position comparison can show
The model describes ideal rigid geometry. Printed clearance, flexible parts, instrument resolution, datum setup, and angle setting can all affect physical readings. The page reports measured differences and documented uncertainty when available; it does not assign a cause or claim the design is validated from a build or a favorable average alone.
